Paris St Germain have been dealt a blow with the news defender Thiago Silva will be out for at least three weeks.
The Brazilian injured a thigh during his side's goalless home stalemate with Ajaccio and had to be replaced in the 57th minute.
He now faces a race against the clock to get fit for PSG's UEFA Champions League last 16 first-leg against Valencia on 11th February.
A club statement on Monday said: "Today's scan confirmed the injury in the left femoral biceps. He will be out for at least three weeks."
French international Mamadou Sakho came on for Silva against Ajaccio and is set to deputise while he is out.
Meanwhile Italian midfielder Thiago Motto faces a suspension for his red card picked up against Ajaccio, further weakening Carlo Ancelotti's side.
PSG's failure to take three points against Ajaccio cost them top spot in Ligue 1 after Lyon moved two points clear with a 2-1 win at Troyes.
