Sky Sports understands Reading are keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp.

Camp's contract at Forest expires in the summer and as yet no new deal has been agreed.

It means Forest might try and sell Camp in this month's transfer window rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

The news has alerted a number of clubs, including Reading, with Royals boss Brian McDermott thought to be in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements.

Alex McCarthy has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season and Adam Federici had been in and out of the side this season prior to McCarthy's injury.

Camp has established himself as one of the best keepers outside the Premier League and McDermott is now weighing up a move for the former Derby and Queens Park Rangers man.
