Sky Sports understands League One trio Preston, Swindon and Doncaster are all chasing Forest Green Rovers hot-shot James Norwood.
Norwood's form at Forest Green this season has alerted a number of clubs higher up the football pyramid.
The 22-year-old has netted 10 goals for Rovers this season, including a superb hat-trick against Newport County on New Year's Day.
The former Brighton and Crystal Palace man is out of contract in the summer and he has been placed on the transfer list after rejecting Forest Green's offer of a new deal.
