Sky Sports understands that Leicester City have turned down a bid from League Two Bristol Rovers for Cian Bolger.
The Irish midfielder is a product of Leicester's academy system, but the 20-year-old has yet to taste first-team football with the club.
However, he does have extensive Football League experience having spent three spells on-loan with Bristol Rovers.
He first joined them in January 2010, then enjoyed a season-long spell the following campaign.
Bolger linked up with them again this summer, but that deal came to an end on January 1st, and Rovers lodged an offer to take him on a permanent basis after he recently returned from a knee injury.
However, Leicester have rejected that bid and there is believed to be interest from other clubs in landing the highly-rated Irishman.
