Sky Sports understands Stevenage have agreed a deal to sign Southampton's Sam Hoskins on loan until the end of the season.
Hoskins is another talented youngster to come through the Southampton production line and has already had loan spells with Preston and Rotherham.
The striker is still only 19 and it is understood that Saints would be happy for him to go out again and gain further experience.
An agreement is believed to have been struck with Stevenage, who are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season.
Gary Smith's side currently occupy a mid-table position in League One but are in poor form after losing three straight games.
