Nene is confident he can come to an agreement with Paris St Germain which will allow him to leave the club before the remaining six months of his contract.
The 31-year-old Brazilian has been linked with a January move to AC Milan, Galatasaray and Santos after being dropped from PSG's last three games.
Nene's absence has come as a consequence of row with club officials during the UEFA Champions League victory over Porto this season and there seems to be no way back.
"It's a hard decision to make but I think the time has come for me to follow a new path in my career," Nene was quoted as saying on his official website.
He added: "I think we will reach a consensus and (I will) be released from the remaining contract compliance."
