Maicon's agent has ruled out the possibility of the Manchester City defender returning to Inter Milan.
The Brazilian, who swapped the San Siro for the Etihad Stadium in August, has started seven games for the Premier League champions.
A heel injury kept him out of action for nearly two months and, with Micah Richards still on the treatment table, the 31-year-old has been competing with Pablo Zabaleta for the right-back berth.
Maicon was on the sidelines for last Sunday's Manchester derby, but agent Roberto Calenda says that his client is happy in England.
"He injured a heel in the first Champions League game against Real Madrid, and this is the only reason he missed so many games," Calenda told Interlive.ie. "A return to Inter Milan is absolutely impossible.
"When Maicon is physically fine, he has always played as a regular, offering good performances.
"I met him at the Manchester derby and he is very well there."
