Bundesliga outfit Greuther Furth have completed the signing of Serbian striker Nikola Djurdjic from Haugesund.

The 26-year-old forward was believed to be a target for Fulham ahead of the January transfer window, but he has opted to open a new chapter in his career in Germany.

Djurdjic, who has spent time on loan at Helsingborg this season, has agreed a deal which will run until the summer of 2016.

"The offer was fantastic and I could not say no to it," he told Sportal.

"The manager wanted me, I was his first choice, so I can expect to play plenty of games.

"So far everything is great and I can't wait to start my new adventure.

"I believe this is the best move for my career at this time. I will be playing in the Bundesliga and my dreams will come true."

Greuther Furth have found the going tough in their first season in the German top-flight and currently sit bottom of the table, 10 points adrift of safety.
