Notts County utility player Hamza Bencherif insists that he is happy to wait for his chance to impress in the first team this season.
The Algerian has found first-team opportunities limited at Meadow Lane this year after a host of summer signings forced him down the pecking order.
The midfielder, who can also operate in defence, has managed just five appearances so far, with his only league action coming from the substitutes' bench.
However, the former Macclesfield man says that he is not the type of player to demand a short-term switch whilst he is required by the Magpies.
"Yes, so far I've only managed to feature in a handful of games, but it is a long season and I'm prepared to wait for my chance in the first team," Bencherif told Sky Sports.
"We've got very good strength in depth here this year and that is essential in football nowadays, so competition for places, even on the bench, is very fierce.
"All I can do is work hard and wait for my time to play because everyone will play their part and when that chance comes it will be up to me then to perform."
