Sky Sports understands that several Championship sides are monitoring Preston North End defender David Buchanan.
The 26-year-old left-back joined Preston in the summer after impressing while at fellow League One club Tranmere Rovers during the previous campaign.
He was recently named North West League One Player of the Year and also won Tranmere's player of the season award for 2011-12.
But Buchanan has found first-team appearances harder to come by at Preston and has missed a month of the current campaign through injury.
