Emile Sinclair: Interest in Peterborough striker
Sky Sports understands that Barnsley have failed with an audacious bid to land Peterborough duo Tyrone Barnett and Emile Sinclair.
The duo were placed on the transfer list earlier this week, along with Gabriel Zakuani and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, after the London Road club stated they had breached club discipline.
It has not taken long for clubs to show an interest in the quartet, and Sky Sports can reveal that Barnsley attempted to sign Barnett and Sinclair earlier this week.
However, after talks between the two clubs Peterborough shunned the bid, believed to have been an initial loan deal for both players.
Despite their signing of Marcus Tudgay on loan from Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, Barnsley are still understood to have an interest in Barnett and could return with a new bid.
However, Sky Sports understands a number of teams are monitoring the former Macclesfield Town player.
