Bradley Johnson is confident Norwich can replicate the success achieved under Paul Lambert last season following their win over Stoke.

Johnson scored his first goal in over a year to lift the Canaries above Tony Pulis' men in the Premier League.

And the 25-year-old believes the win at Carrow Road signals the start of a new lease of life under manager Chris Hughton.

"A new manager and new players have come in, so it was always going to take some time for us to gel," said the midfielder.

"We did not get off to a great start, but now are picking up points and hopefully can carry on.

"We wanted to shore up the back and not concede so much, and we are doing that now.

"We defended well and the result is the only thing which matters."
