Hoffenheim have signed a professional contract with Vincenzo Grifo from their reserve team until the summer of 2016.
The goalscoring midfielder's previous amateur deal was set to expire in 2014 but he recently made his Bundesliga debut under boss Markus Babbel and has now made two top-flight appearances.
Grifo sufficiently impressed in those outings and has been rewarded with a professional contract with his club.
Hoffenheim general manager Andreas Muller told the club's official website: "We are happy to have signed a new contract with Vincenzo Grifo.
"Vincenzo is able to forge ahead at Hoffenheim. We have created all the prerequisites."
