Sky Sports understands Swansea captain Ashley Williams has agreed a new long-term deal at the club.
Swansea have been locked in talks with Williams for several weeks as they look to keep hold of their best players.
Williams only signed a three-year extension to his contract 12 months ago, but Swansea have moved to reward him with a new deal to ward off any potential suitors.
The 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League last term and has also helped Swansea to tenth spot in the table this season.
Liverpool were linked with a move for Williams in the summer with former boss Brendan Rodgers a huge admirer of the central defender, but Swansea were able to keep the player at the Liberty Stadium.
News of Williams' new deal will come as a massive boost to Swansea as he follows the likes of Michel Vorm in pledging his long-term future to the South Wales outfit.
