Andre Villas-Boas is hoping Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker will be able to return to action before Christmas.
Parker has not made a first-team appearance for Spurs this season after undergoing an Achilles operation at the start of August.
The 32-year-old was originally due to return to training in mid-September, but he is still being troubled by the injury and no date has been set for his comeback.
Spurs boss Villas-Boas is satisfied with the England international's progress, but acknowledged it could be towards the end of the year when Parker is available for selection.
"It's difficult for him as he still feels pain and is still disturbed in his recovery," said Villas-Boas. "It prevents him from being on the pitch but he has been evolving inside, in the gym, with the medical department.
"It is still within the limits of what we expected. He is making good progress and there has been less pain.
"It will take two or three weeks - we could be looking at Christmas. Hopefully less."
