Sone Aluko says he is revelling in the advanced attacking position assigned to him this season by Hull City manager Steve Bruce.
The 23-year-old Nigeria forward arrived from Rangers in the summer on a two-year contract and has been pleased with his contribution in Hull's solid start to the Championship season.
Aluko has scored three times for his new club and he said: "It's a role I'm happy to play because it gives me the opportunity to create goals and try and score some goals myself. It's a free role, but with a fair amount of responsibility attached.
"I'm quite happy with my contribution so far and I've created a few goals and scored three myself. But we all have to stay on our toes and make sure our performance levels are high."
Aluko has called on his team-mates to build their promotion hopes by making the KC Stadium a fortress in the coming months.
He said: "We're really enjoying playing at home and it's special when we win at the KC Stadium. I think the fans have enjoyed a lot of what they've seen at home this season and the style of football we've been playing.
"We're all looking forward to getting back out in front of our home fans."
