Millwall boss Kenny Jackett admits the club are looking to send Tamika Mkandawire on loan as the midfielder attempts to regain match fitness.
The 29-year-old had surgery on his knee earlier this year, and has been used sparingly by the Lions this season.
And Jackett has indicated Millwall will attempt to secure a short-term deal with another club so Mkandawire can get regular action.
Jackett said: "Tam has been a substitute but he is still available for loan because he needs to play after his injury.
"We are still looking for that loan to get match practice for Tam to then come back and do well for Millwall again.
"There is nothing close at the minute but we will see what develops over the next week."
