Celtic winger James Forrest was forced to pull out of the Scotland squad beaten in Belgium because of a groin injury.

Forrest had been part of the Scotland squad set to take on the World Cup qualifying Group A leaders in Brussels.

The 21-year-old missed the game though and it is not yet known how serious the injury is and whether it will keep him out of Celtic's trip to St Mirren on Saturday.

Forrest has seven caps for Scotland and last featured for his country in the 1-1 draw against Macedonia last month.
