The Argentine forward is still nursing his way back to peak form after picking up a calf injury against Manchester United on 15th September.
An untimely knock cut short an impressive opening to the campaign which has seen him rediscover his touch in front of goal.
Di Santo has been eased back into action by boss Roberto Martinez since shaking off the knock, making one substitute appearance and one start, but is confident he will be firing on all cylinders by the time Wigan travel to Swansea City on 20th October.
"I am nearly back to 100 per cent and hopefully by the end of this international break I'll be back to where I was," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"This break is a good opportunity for everyone to work on their fitness as well as skills, and I don't think I am far away from where I want to be.
"I wasn't happy with the tackle at Old Trafford but I also appreciate it could have been much worse.
"That's all in the past now, though, it's forgotten. All that matters is the next game against Swansea."
