Scott Brown believes recalls for Steven and Darren Fletcher will offer a timely boost to Scotland's 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Manchester United midfielder Darren is back in the fold after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a chronic bowel condition.
Meanwhile, Sunderland striker Steven has returned from a stint in the international wilderness.
"It's a great boost to have the two Fletchers back in," said Brown.
"It's great for the country, for team morale. We know what Darren can do and Steven has been firing this season. It's great having them back."
Steven Fletcher has not figured for his country since pulling himself out of contention for a call-up in February 2011, with national coach Craig Levein having opted to overlook him since then.
He is, however, delighted to be back and Brown believes the presence of an in-form frontman can only be beneficial to Scotland.
The Celtic skipper added: "He's just said that he's looking forward to getting the strip back on and being back in training and forgetting about what has happened in the last couple of years.
"The focus is going to be on him. But he has scored five goals in his first five games in the Premier League for Sunderland, so I don't think he has too much to prove."
