Sky Sports understands Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Karl Darlow has signed a new three-year deal at the City Ground.

Darlow is currently out on loan at Walsall after being allowed to link up with the League One club last month.

The 21-year-old is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Forest and made his first start for the club in the Capital One Cup win over Fleetwood in August.

Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll decided to loan out Darlow so that he can get some valuable first-team experience under his belt with Lee Camp the established No.1 at the City Ground.

The former Aston Villa youngster, who has been at Forest since the age of 16, has been rewarded with his progress with a new long-term deal.
