Wolves manager Stale Solbakken has urged Kevin Doyle to become more selfish in front of goal.

The Republic of Ireland striker has been central to Wolves' decent start to the season, but he has found the net just once, in the 1-1 draw with Derby in August.

"Kevin has proved he can play very well at international level," said Solbakken. "His workrate is tremendous and he always plays for the team rather than himself.

"But maybe he should be more selfish sometimes.

"He should maybe demand something more from his team-mates - he's too nice sometimes."

Wolves sit in the final play-off position after six games, and Doyle feels they have the experience to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

"There have been a lot of changes but we've still got the bulk of the team who were promoted before and played in the Premier League for a few years," he said.

"So it shouldn't surprise people we're up there because we want to get promoted, although there's a very long way to go."
