Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman has denied reports that the club are in talks with free agent Nigel Reo-Coker.
The 28-year-old is without a club since leaving Bolton in the summer and has been linked with the Eagles and Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.
However, Freedman says midfield is not an area they are currently looking to strengthen.
"It's not true and there have been no discussions," he told the Croydon Advertiser. "I've not met him or spoken to him, so it's not true.
"I understand agents put things out, and because I've got respect for Nigel, I won't comment on it, but it's not true and it's a position we don't need to fill right now."
Freedman also ruled any potential loan signings or moves for unattached players, stating he is happy with the current batch of players at his disposal.
"Nobody is training with the club and there is no loan activity," he said. "I would say we're doing OK right now."
Palace are unbeaten in six Championship games, taking 16 points from a possible 18, and Freeman is confident they can keep that run going on Saturday when they host Burnley.
"A couple of years ago I'd have said it would be difficult to get on a level footing with them, but we are now," said Freedman.
"I'm looking forward to the game. It is another chance to see how far we have gone and how far we could possibly go."
