Neil Kilkenny believes Bristol City can trouble the rest of the championship after bolstering their squad this summer.
Seven new arrivals made the move to Ashton Gate and the Robins currently sit 15th in the table following a 3-2 defeat to Leeds on Saturday.
But the midfielder is confident Derek McInnes' men are a better team than last season and one that can progress as the campaign continues.
"The manager has brought in a lot of quality players over the summer," said Kilkenny.
"They have all done well since they have arrived and it is evident in the games they have played.
"I was injured at the start of the season. I've had to bide my time but it was great to be involved.
"It was a bad result on Saturday but we must move on. The games come thick and fast in the npower championship so we will be looking to get a win tonight.
"The team have been doing well so I've just been trying hard in training to show the manager that I'm ready when he needs me.
"We've been playing good football and want to continue to do so throughout the campaign."
