Barcelona full-back Daniel Alves has confirmed Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing him during the summer and have the left the door open to a future move.
The Brazil international was a target for the big-spending French outfit but even they could not meet Barca's asking price and were forced to look elsewhere.
"They made contact in the summer after everything that had been said in the media," said Alves.
"I know that they contacted a lot of players and are building a great side.
"They did talk to my representatives about the possibility of a move but that was low because my price is very high and they quickly moved on to talk to others."
Although Alves is currently happy with the Catalan giants he admits he would consider a move to Paris if his current employers ever felt it was time for him to move on.
"One never knows what the future holds and if one day Barca no longer want me then who know?" he added.
"PSG is on the great teams and the door is still ajar."
