Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has revealed Harry Redknapp has assured him he is not after his job at Portman Road.
Reports have suggested Redknapp has been lined up to replace Jewell, who is under pressure following their poor start to the season.
However, Jewell has revealed Redknapp telephoned to inform him that there was no truth in the rumours that he was set to take over at Portman Road.
"Harry rang me last Sunday and said there was absolutely no truth in it," Jewell told Radio Suffolk.
"The only worrying thing was at the end of the conversation he asked me what the best areas to live were."
Jewell added: "The last time I saw Harry, I was with [Ipswich chairman] Marcus [Evans] in Portugal.
"I said: 'You didn't have to make the phone call, Harry, because if Marcus was going to make a change, I think he'd tell me first' and it was fine."
