George Elokobi admits he jumped at the chance to join Bristol City on loan from Wolves.
Cameroon defender Elokobi will spend the next three months at Ashton Gate after agreeing a loan deal to leave Molineux.
Elokobi has been restricted to just two appearances for Wolves this term and he is relishing the opportunity of getting regular first-team football under his belt at Bristol City.
"I think it is a good move for me as I want to be playing football," Elokobi told skysports.com.
"There was interest from other clubs, but I decided to come to Bristol City as they are a good club and I can't wait to get started.
"I am not one who is content to sit on the bench. I want to be playing football all the time and hopefully I can do that at Bristol City and add something to the team."
Frustrating
Elokobi admits it was frustrating not to be playing on a regular basis at Wolves and he is keen to show what he can do during his stint at Ashton Gate.
"I want to be playing as you can only improve yourself by playing," added Elokobi.
"I always worked hard in training and was ready to play when needed, but it can get frustrating when you are not playing in the first-team.
"I am happy Wolves have allowed me to leave on loan and I want to show what I can do at Bristol City."
Elokobi could make his debut against Leeds this weekend and the big defender is ready to go straight into Derek McInnes' side.
"Every game in the Championship is tough and it will be a tough game against Leeds," continued Elokobi.
"Hopefully I can get in the team and do my bit and help the team move up the league."
