Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign a new contract with Sebastian Rode and are not panicking over the timescale to agree a deal.

The Germany Under 21 international midfielder's current terms expire in the summer of 2014 and manager Armin Veh wants an extension as soon as possible.

Eintracht have ruled out any possible sale of Rode and are confident of agreeing a new contract, although they are not in any rush

The club's general manager, Bruno Hubner, told Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper: "All authorities of this club have agreed on the circumstance Sebastian Rode is on a two-year deal and will not be sold throughout the duration of this contract.

"We are still in very good talks, both parties want to sign a new contract and it's an important phase inside the football life of Rode.

"As a club, we have to accept the player is out to not sign a new deal that fast."
