Middlesbrough have confirmed that young winger Adam Reach has pledged his future to the club by signing a new four-year deal.
The Gateshead-born left-sider is another graduate of Boro's famed academy and made an impact last year on his debut.
This term he has emerged as a regular in Tony Mowbray's squad, and his progress has been rewarded by the club.
"He's a young player who is progressing well and we're pleased he's committed his future to us," said Mowbray.
"He's done exceptionally well and deserves his contract. We hope he sees this as a place to develop his skills.
"Hopefully we will see him develop quickly from now on. He's made an impact in the team this year and we're hoping he'll have a lot more exposure to the team as the season unfurls.
"He's positive, he's creative and he can score a goal. He has some attributes we hope to develop and hopefully he will fulfil that potential.
"If he continues to progress the way he has been, we'll all be happy."
