SPL side Hearts have been fined £4,000 by UEFA after their supporters spilled onto the field during their Europa League play-off with Liverpool last month.

David Templeton scored a late opener at Anfield to level the tie on aggregate and a number of supporters spilled from the Anfield Road stand while celebrating.

Luiz Suarez scored a late equaliser for the Reds to seal a 2-1 aggregate win and send them through to the group stages.

A UEFA statement read: "Heart of Midlothian FC have been fined 5,000 euros by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body for "pitch invasion by supporters" at last month's UEFA Europa League play-off second-leg match at Anfield Road between Liverpool FC and the Scottish club."
