Sky Sports understands Nottingham Forest striker Robbie Findley is poised to join League Two side Gillingham on loan.
Findley is being allowed out by Forest to play regular first-team football after failing to feature under Sean O'Driscoll so far this season.
He had been a target for several clubs in the Football League, but now appears poised to head to early League Two leaders Gillingham.
Gills boss Martin Allen had recently been in the market for a new forward on loan and has identified Findley as the man to plug the gap.
If the deal is finalised in time, Findley could go straight into the Gillingham squad for Saturday's game at second-placed Port Vale.
