Stoke boss Tony Pulis was happy to get some luck against Manchester City

Tony Pulis was happy to see a smaller club have a contentious decision fall in their favour following Stoke City's 1-1 draw at home with Manchester City.

Stoke took the lead on 15 minutes, but Peter Crouch appeared to use his hand to bring the ball into his path before slotting home.

Visiting manager Roberto Mancini said the goal was more 'basketball than football', and Pulis was prepared to take any good luck on offer.

"I haven't seen it, but if Peter's got away with it then brilliant," Pulis told Sky Sports.

"It's nice being a smaller club to get away with something against the bigger clubs."

The Premier League champions secured a draw through debutant Javi Garcia's header and Pulis was satisfied to take a point from the game.

"It was a great result for us playing against one of the top teams in the world today," added Pulis.

"If you have a look at the players they've left out, never mind the players they've put on the pitch, their second team would be up there in the Premiership, so to get a result is a great, great achievement.

"There were some very, very good individual performances all through the team today and when you play against a team like that all 11 have to play as one and they've all done that.

"Certain people might catch the eyes, but it's the 11 that got us the result."
