Blackburn Rovers forward Jordan Rhodes insists he feels no pressure to live up to his £8million price-tag.

Rhodes moved to Ewood Park from Huddersfield last month in a club-record deal for Rovers after being chased by a host of clubs.

The Scotland international made his debut in the 3-3 draw with Leeds earlier this month and he insists he is not worried about the demand for him to score the goals to fire Blackburn back to the Premier League.

Asked if the price-tag put any extra pressure on him, Rhodes told Sky Sports News Radio: "No it doesn't. It fills me with pride and a real warmth that a club like Blackburn and manager Steve Kean spent the money to bring me here and it is a huge honour to be part of this football club.

Rhodes admits he is not bothered about scoring as long as the team win.

"It would be nice to get goals, but I am gelling to the players and the players are gelling to me.

"I just plan to give 100 per cent and it is not about goals it is about picking up points."

Rhodes believes his move to Blackburn will help develop as a player as he feels he has still room for improvement.

"This is the next step in my development and it will help me develop into a better player with a better all-round game and I am trying work on it in training and on the pitch."
