England Under-21 skipper Jordan Henderson praised Chesterfield for the manner in which they hosted the Young Lions on Monday.
The Liverpool midfielder led out England's next generation in front of 9,947 supporters at the Proact Stadium as Stuart Pearce's side completed their group eight qualifying campaign for next summer's European Championship finals.
Connor Wickham bagged the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Norway, sealing top spot and therefore a seeded draw for next month's two-legged play-offs.
Henderson and Wickham were just two of the star names of show in Chesterfield, and the former, who was part of England's senior squad at Euro 2012, enjoyed his time in Derbyshire.
He told the club's official website: "The pitch was nice, good crowd, so it's more than what we could ask for really.
"It's a good ground, the facilities are good."
