Ian Evatt believes he is close to recovering from an unfortunate foot injury and making a return to Championship action with Blackpool.
The centre-half has been sidelined since the opening day of the season against Millwall.
He could, however, be back in contention for a trip to Barnsley on Saturday.
"It was a weird one really, I kicked the bottom of someone's studs during the Millwall game and it burst some blood vessels in my foot," said Evatt.
"It made my foot swell up like a bit of an elephant foot, but finally I've got control of it now.
"I went to see a specialist who assured me there was nothing major wrong with my foot and it was just a bit of a freak incident.
"At first I thought I was fine to play as I wasn't getting any pain from it, just lots of swelling.
"Once the swelling went down I started to get more and more pain.
"It was only a few burst blood vessels and a bit of a bruise, but it's taken a few weeks to settle down."
