Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is refusing to panic at the club's poor start to the Premier League season.
The Reds have picked up just one point from their opening three games to leave them in the bottom three.
There has also been uproar on Merseyside this week as the knives were sharpened by some critics for principal owner John W Henry.
A 2-0 home defeat by Arsenal, coming just two days after the transfer window closed with no replacement for Andy Carroll, has left many questioning whether Henry and his advisors are imposing their own will on team affairs, rather than leaving it to manager Brendan Rodgers.
"It's been a tough few weeks but it's not the time to panic. We can still take the club forward."
Steven Gerrard Quotes of the week
Tough
However, Gerrard is keen not to get things out of proportion.
"When you're not winning football matches it's tough," said Gerrard.
"But when you have my kind of experience, you don't panic after three games.
"We were fantastic against Manchester City and should have won.
"Against Arsenal it was the opposite.
"It's been a tough few weeks but it's not the time to panic. We can still take the club forward."
