Galatasaray have revealed they are considering a move for Manchester City defender Kolo Toure before the Turkish transfer window slams shut.
Turkish clubs can still do business until Wednesday and Galatasaray are mulling over a number of options at the back after losing Tomas Ujfalusi to an injury that could keep him sidelined for several months.
Toure has just one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium and would appear to have slipped further down Roberto Mancini's pecking order after Matija Nastajic was brought in on Friday.
Gala's deputy president Ali Durust hopes to make a signing before the deadline, saying: "There are 24 hours left, Kolo Toure is one of the players we are considering."
Emmanuel Eboue, who joined Galatasaray from Arsenal last summer and is also an Ivory Coast international, could play a key role in luring Toure to Turkey.
Head coach Fatih Terim said: "We have to bring someone in, obviously a defender.
"We're interested in Kolo Toure from Manchester City. We can ask help from Eboue if we need."
