Burnley have completed the signing of Hull City winger Cameron Stewart on a loan deal which is set to run until January.

Sky Sports revealed earlier on Friday that the youngster was poised to link up with the Clarets on a short-term agreement.

That move has now been pushed through, with the 22-year-old set to spend the rest of the calendar year at Turf Moor.

Stewart goes straight into Burnley's squad to face Brighton on Saturday.

A product of Manchester United's academy system, who secured a permanent switch to Hull in January 2011 after impressing initially on loan, will be hoping to get important minutes under his belt during his time with Eddie Howe's side.

He has already made three appearances for the Tigers this season, but Steve Bruce has allowed him to link up with a Championship rival after deciding that he has enough creative options to cover his loss.

"Burnley have beaten Friday's transfer deadline to secure a loan deal for the Hull City forward, which will see Stewart stay at Turf Moor until January," read a statement released on the Clarets' official website.
