Everton are closing in on the signing of Bryan Oviedo after confirming a fee has been agreed with FC Copenhagen for the Costa Rica international.
Copenhagen revealed on Thursday that an offer had been received for Oviedo and it is reported that the 22-year-old will cost £5million.
Oviedo, who can play at left-back or on the left of midfield, is now travelling to Merseyside to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.
Everton will need to secure a work permit for Oviedo, who has won 13 caps for Costa Rica and won the Danish title twice.
Manager David Moyes is currently at a work permit hearing in London which will determine whether Oviedo will be granted clearance to move to the Premier League.
He had been in the final year of his contract with Copenhagen and had been linked with a move to Manchester United earlier in the summer.
However, he is now set to head for Goodison Park, where he will provide competition for England international Leighton Baines.
