Assistant manager Steve Round has revealed Everton are hoping they have not finished their business in the summer transfer window.

Toffees also confident there will not be any outgoings

Assistant manager Steve Round has revealed Everton are hoping they have not finished their business in the summer transfer window with just three days remaining before the deadline. Steven Pienaar, Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas have already moved to Goodison Park but boss David Moyes has made no secret of the fact he wants more strength in depth. One target could be Michael Owen, with reports continuing to link the former Liverpool and Manchester United striker - who is now a free agent - to Everton. And while Round does not want to reveal any targets, Moyes' right-hand man has confirmed the club still want to add to their squad. "We would very much like to, yes," he said at a press conference ahead of Wednesday's Capital One Cup game against Leyton Orient.

Happy

"We are a couple short and a bit thin on the ground. That is the job for the manager and the chairman. "It's not easy at this stage and if we do, great. If we don't then we are still very happy with the squad we have got and the team we are putting out." Everton's 100 per cent start to the season, after wins over United and Aston Villa, has raised expectations at the club and there has even been talk of the UEFA Champions League. The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jagielka have been impressive performers and it has been suggested the pair could be transfer targets for other clubs. But Round said: "There are only a few days to go (in the transfer window) and I don't think there will be anyone leaving now, that's for sure."
