Sky Sports understands West Ham and Bolton have bid for Charlton Athletic defender Chris Solly.
A number of clubs have been linked with Solly, who has caught the eye at Charlton over the last 12 months.
Solly enjoyed a fine campaign with Charlton last term, playing a key role in their promotion back to the Championship and he was named as the club's Player of the Year by supporters as well as Young Player of the Year by the club's management team.
West Ham have been tracking Solly for some time with Sam Allardyce in the market for a new right-back and they have now firmed up their interest with an offer.
However, they could face competition from Bolton for the 21-year-old with Owen Coyle also believed to have tabled a bid.
Charlton are reluctant to lose Solly as Chris Powell looks to keep hold of his best players and it remains to be seen if they can fend off the growing interest in the player.
