Norwich have confirmed the signing of Alexander Tettey from French outfit Rennes, with the midfielder penning a two-year contract.
The Norway international joins the Canaries for an undisclosed fee after passing a medical.
The 26-year-old, who is most comfortable in a holding role, becomes Chris Hughton's seventh signing of a busy summer.
"I'm delighted to have Alexander on board and I firmly believe he will be a valuable asset for us," the Norwich boss told the club's official website.
"He's a very good player with international experience, and he's at a good age for us."
Tettey arrives at Carrow Road after three years with Rennes, during which time he made 82 appearances in all competitions.
He will not be involved in the Canaries' home date with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday as international clearance will not be received in time.
