Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez wants to add one more player to his squad before the close of the transfer window but only if he can find someone who is the right fit for the club.
Martinez has this summer already made four additions, recruiting defender Ivan Ramis, midfielder Fraser Fyvie and striker Arouna Kone on permanent deals from Real Mallorca, Aberdeen and Levante, respectively, and Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi on a season-long loan.
And speaking at a press conference ahead of Saturday's Premier League trip to Southampton, the manager revealed there could be another new arrival at the DW Stadium before next week's transfer deadline to further boost a squad he feels is shaping up well.
That squad could be shorn of the services of a key player in the coming days in forward Victor Moses, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.
However, the Blues have so far failed to make an offer in line with Wigan's asking price - believed to be in the region of £9million - for the 21-year-old and Martinez insists he is heading into the final days of the window in relaxed mood.
"At the moment, we are still looking at if we can bring in maybe another player but it has to be the right one and he has to be the right character to fit in," said the Spaniard.
"But I'm not too concerned by the rest of the window. I'm very pleased with the signings we have made and with the players we have kept in the squad."
