Antonio Cassano is determined to try and make an impact for Inter Milan after completing a switch to the club from rivals AC Milan.
It was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that the two clubs had agreed a deal that would see Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini move in opposite directions.
Cassano is delighted to have joined the team he followed as a child and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
"After an eternity, I have arrived at the club which I support," the 30-year-old told Inter Channel.
"It's important for me. It doesn't get better than joining the club which you are a fan of. I have re-found my smile."
Cassano added: "The most important thing for me now is to get into the best shape, starting with the game at Pescara.
"I'll wear the No 99 shirt. I told the club that the number means a lot to me."
