Kevin Mirallas: Belgium international hopes to agree a deal to join Everton from Olympiakos

Sky Sports understands Kevin Mirallas is optimistic he will agree a deal with Everton after arriving on Merseyside in the hope of finalising a move to Goodison Park.

The Belgium international has been linked with several Premier League clubs, but is now close to joining Everton from Greek side Olympiakos.

Mirallas confirmed earlier this week that he sees a switch to Everton as the better fit after also attracting interest from Arsenal.

He has now flown in to Liverpool with his agent and is holding talks with the Toffees regarding his personal terms ahead of completing a £6million deal.

It is understood that the 24-year-old has yet to sign a contract, but is hopeful that a deal will be agreed for him to link up with David Moyes' side.

Toffees boss Moyes has money to spend following the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City and is keen to bring in another couple of players before the transfer window closes.

Moyes has been relatively quiet in the transfer market this summer, to date signing Steven Naismith on a free transfer from Rangers and securing the permanent return of midfielder Steven Pienaar.
