Laudrup delighted with QPR victory

Swansea boss overjoyed with his side's second-half display

Michael Laudrup: Swansea City manager overjoyed with victory over QPR

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup was delighted with his side's victory over Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Saturday.

Braces from Michu and Nathan Dyer and a Scott Sinclair strike saw the Swans get the better of QPR 5-0 at Loftus Road to begin their league campaign on a positive note.

It was Laudrup's first competitive game in charge of Swansea since being appointed manager in the summer, and the Dane was overjoyed with his players' performance in London.

"5-0 win in an away game against a difficult opponent - I couldn't even dream about that," he told Sky Sports.

Laudrup off to a scorcher

"We had a good start with a good goal from Michu. Then QPR came back and created chances, but we could have scored two goals late in the first half had we not hit the crossbar.

"In the second half, we were very organised, played good on counter-attacks and scored great goals. It was a perfect second half in every way."

Michu was among three debutants for Swansea on Saturday, with Jonathan De Guzman and Chico also making their starts at Loftus Road.

And Laudrup was pleased with the trio's display, adding: "Michu did a great job.

"He scored two goals, the second goal was brilliant. Jonathan and Chico were good too."
