Brentford new boy Scott Barron admits his desire to play regular first-team football was the reason behind his switch to Griffin Park.

Barron has dropped down a division to join Uwe Rosler's side on a two-year deal after being told he was unlikely to feature much at Millwall. The left-back is poised to make his Bees debut in the League One opener at Bury on Saturday. "I didn't play as many games as I would like last year at Millwall and the manager said I wouldn't get as many games as I would hope this season," he told the club website. "As soon as I heard of Brentford's interest, I definitely wanted to meet with Uwe Rvsler. "He has been very impressive. He sold his ideas and the club to me. I am pleased to be here."
