Tomlinson hoping to win deal at Deepdale
Sky Sports understands former Port Vale goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson is waiting to see if he will be offered a deal at Preston after impressing on trial.
Tomlinson is available on a free transfer after turning down a new deal at Port Vale earlier this summer.
Preston are in the market for a new goalkeeper after seeing Richard Wright leave Deepdale just weeks following his arrival.
Preston invited Tomlinson on trial as they look for a new goalkeeper and he featured in their pre-season friendly against Plymouth and even saved a penalty in the game.
A number of other clubs are thought to be monitoring Tomlinson's situation and are ready to move for him if Preston fail to secure his signature.
