Rangers will face Falkirk at Ibrox in the second round of the Scottish Communities League Cup.
The Scottish giants, relaunched in the country's third division this season, were paired with First Division Bairns at the Hampden draw on Thursday afternoon.
Holders Kilmarnock begin the defence of their trophy with a home game against second division side Stenhousemuir.
There are some tricky away ties for other Scottish Bank Premier League clubs.
Hibernian are at Queen of the South, Aberdeen travel to Morton and Inverness face Arbroath at Gayfield while SPL new boys Dundee will get a trip to Hampden to meet Queen's Park.
