West Brom boss Steve Clarke says there are still places available in his team for their opening game against Liverpool.
The Baggies will host Liverpool at The Hawthorns on 18th August, which will see Clarke pitted against his old employers.
Clarke is still fine-tuning his squad in readiness for the start of the campaign as his side prepare to face Walsall on Tuesday and Nottingham Forest on Friday.
It offers the West Brom players further opportunities to impress their boss and he has urged them to take it.
Persuade
"I wouldn't be very good at my job if I didn't have some kind of idea as to what I'm thinking about for the Liverpool game," he told the club's official website.
"But it would be wrong of me to say I know exactly what I'm going to do. Lots of things can happen between now and then. There's another two games for a start.
"All positions are open for people to impress. There are places up for grabs.
"Rather than get fixed on one team, I'll give everybody the chance to get on the pitch and try to persuade me they should be in the starting XI."
